The movie-oke (simply because it is guaranteed to make the moviegoer sing along while watching the film) has always been the dream project of producer Tony Gloria. Mr. Gloria’s Unitel is responsible for hit movies “Crying Ladies” and “La Visa Loca” which are movies cited also for their quality and critical acclaim.
He said he knows that the Filipino audience is ready for this kind of musical extravaganza on the big screen, especially when the music comes very close to the heart of the Filipino just like the songs of Jim Paredes, Buboy Garrovillo and Danny Javier who are collectively known as the Apo Hiking Society.
“I Do Bidoo Bidoo: Heto nAPO Sila’ is a movie we can be very proud of. It is by the Filipino and for the Filipino,” Mr. Gloria said.
The heartwarming musical comedy will be an APO movie-oke celebration, they all promise. “The refreshing and impressive casting combination for this new movie genre has got all of us excited and we are sure that the public will be as excited as we are.”
The other members of the cast are Neil Coleta, Jaime Fabregas, Kiray Celis, Gerald Pesigan, Sweet Plantado and Frenchie Dy.
The songs of Apo Hiking Society will be immortalized once more, this time on the big screen. “Pumapatak Na Naman Ang Ulan,” “Doo Bidoo” “Syotang Pa-class,” “Awit ng Barkada,” “Panalangin,” “Tuyo Nang Damdamin,” “Mahirap Magmahal,” “Salawikain,” “Nakapagtataka,” “Batang Bata,” “Blue Jeans,” “Kaibigan,” “Huwag Masanay Sa Pagmamahal,” “Ewan,” “Paano,” “Di Natuto,” “Pag-ibig,” “Kabilugan ng Buwan.” Check out if you know all of them so you can sing-along with the cast come movie time on Aug. 29 at your favorite theaters.
